Mémoires – Béliz, 2019

Although the tracks had been recorded ten years earlier, it was finally in 2019 that the album Mémoires was released by Beaumonde Records. Edmony Krater’s gwoka and committed poetry mingle with Anne Bacqueyrisse’s harp and Olivier Maurières’ percussion in a stunning fusion of Caribbean, Eastern and classical influences, under the name Béliz. Definitely what you’d call a fine piece of work!
