🇵🇷 🎤 🎺 💿 🌎 In the late 1960s, accompanied by his loyal friend Rafael Cortijo, Ismael Rivera embraced the boogaloo trend with the album Con Todos Los Hierros, released in 1967. The record was only published in the United States and Mexico. In France, a single 45 rpm record was extracted from it two years later, featuring Arrecotin Arrecotan on the A-side, which starts with a lively tempo before settling into a more classic mid-tempo boogaloo. On the B-side, the Puerto Rican singer delivers Bamba Curé, still in the boogaloo spirit but slower, backed by the brilliant brass of Cortijo y Su Combo. A delight.
