Ngalle Jojo – 1983

,

🎤🎶🕺🇨🇲🌅 The Sunday night makossa is Na Bwa Bongo, a big hit by the excellent Ngalle Jojo, in 1983. The Douala-born singer released his first albums at the end of the 70s and stopped his musical career without really warning in the mid-80s. Barely a decade for one of the great successful singers of the genre, heard among others with Manu Dibango. He also produced the single Makom Ma Bobe by the singer Jeanette N’Diaye, already mentioned here. Ngalle eventually went into exile in France, where he settled and became an evangelist… although he has occasionally returned to the stage. Unfortunately, this is yet another album on which no musicians have been credited, except for a certain ‘team’ who are thanked anonymously on the back. One thing’s for sure, it’s not a one-armed team!
