🎹🎸🌍🇬🇦🇨🇲🎶🕺 On the initiative of keyboardist Jean-Claude Naimro and Gabonese bassist and guitarist Jean-Yves Messan, The Roots Relations builds a bridge between the West Indies and Africa, to recall history. On both sides of the Atlantic, we find some of the regulars of the Paris studios who have made Afro-Caribbean music a success since the mid-70s. Alongside the two initiators, from Cameroon we find Vicky Edimo, Brice Wassy and Jules Kamga, the Gabonese singer Makaya Madingo, and Claude Vamur, for a journey through the rhythms of the moment, afro-pop, soukous… and including a short passage through reggae. Roots Relations was released in 1980, and included a number of dancefloor references such as Lucie and the very makossa Na NdĂ© Na PosiĂ©.
