👥🎶💃🥁🎵 They have known each other since they were teenagers, and have shared their musical experiences in a number of groups in Guadeloupe. Jean-Marc Ferdinand plays the drum, sings and animates, and is also a choreographer. In short, he has always lived and breathed music, rooted in tradition. Joby Julienne has been involved with the Lewoz since childhood, becoming a pupil of Gérard Pomer at an early age. With Jean-Claude Antoinette and Marcel Magnat, he formed Van Lévé, and the group made its mark in the gwo-ka modènn movement. In 2005, Joby and Jean-Marc founded K’Koustik with Jean Tamas and Arsène Noël. The group’s repertoire of traditional songs ranges from Chanté Nwel to Lewoz, with occasional touches of zouk and a festive Creole folk sound. For this first version of the group, they invited Alain Joséphine to play saxophone on a few tracks. The Reviviscence album came out in 2006, and its success meant that it was re-released in 2011!
