🎶🎷🎹🥁🎸🎵 For their second album, Pygmées, in 1987, Sixun used the same graphics as on the cover of Nuit Blanche. The children had, however, grown up a bit, and seemed a bit more dissipated. And so much the better! It is also notable that the composition of the group has not changed. Idrissa Diop is still percussionist – in a position that will soon become unstable. Sixun’s ‘French-style’ Afro-Caribbean jazz-funk confirms its liveliness, richness and originality, and the six-piece club is now one of the most talented in this jazz fusion, sailing in the same waters as Weather Report and Ultramarine.
