From 1972 to 1985, the Gramacks were, along with Exile One, the pioneers of Cadence-Lypso, led by Jeff Joseph. With Ka Allez Haut, in 1980, they successfully mixed funk and disco influences with their already explosive cocktail on the fringes of reggae and zouk.
