How could we not wish Jacob Desvarieux a moving birthday on 21 November? In 1984, in a duet with Georges Décimus, he wrote the zouk anthem, Zouk-La Sé Sel Medikaman Nou Ni, and the title is still furiously – and unfortunately – relevant today! Of course, they were accompanied by the whole of Kassav’ and a host of guest friends, for a volley of tracks that would become classics, such as Yélélé, Tim-Tim Bwa Sek, regularly shared with live audiences, or Mwen Di Ou Awa.

Je suis pas de l’âge de Jacob desvarieux, pourtant ses chansons me manquent.
