It was not until 1997 that Roger Raspail released his first album under his own name. The drummer from Capesterre Belle-Eau released Fanny’s Dream on the Blue Marge label run by the late Gérard Terronès. It featured a host of talented musicians including Michel Alibo, Alain Jean-Marie, Dominique Bérose, Richard Raux, Lansine Kouyaté, Didier Malherbe, Mokhtar Samba and Yvon Rosillette. And it would be another twenty years before Roger graced us with a new album, Dalva, released this time by Heavenly Sweetness. But in the meantime, there have been so many prestigious collaborations!
