After the success of Ancien Combattant, and before that of Moustique, Zao returned with a second album just as delicious as the first. Corbillard, released in 1986, confirmed the originality, quality and success of the Congolese singer. Zao denounces the faults and failings of humanity to the rhythm of rumba, and with his always tasty lyrics. From Soulard to Corbillard and Adam Et Ève, the songs were played over and over again in the capital’s bars, and Zao was the star of the « Fête de la Musique » in Brazzaville the following year – I was there!
