In 1981, Amina and Tshebele rare the first international recorded hits of the great Tshala Muana on this « giant 45 ». The sleeve is 40 years old, but the record has not aged a day, and neither has the music it contains. Tshala Muana made her debut on backing vocals with Mpongo Love and then Abéti, before the release of her debut EP. She lived in Paris for ten years before returning to the Congo in 1997, where she became involved in politics with Laurent-Désiré Kabila. At the same time, however, she continued to pursue her musical career, working actively to promote young artists. Our thoughts are with the Queen of Mutuashi, who passed away yesterday.
