Jean-Marc Ferdinand plays the drum, sings and animates, and is also a choreographer. In short, he has always lived and breathed music, rooted in tradition. Joby Julienne has been involved with the Lewoz since childhood, becoming a pupil of GĂ©rard Pomer at an early age. With Jean-Claude Antoinette and Marcel Magnat, he formed Van LĂ©vĂ©, and the group made its mark in the gwo-ka modĂšnn movement. In 2005, Joby and Jean-Marc founded K’Koustik, with a repertoire of traditional songs ranging from ChantĂ© Nwel to Lewoz, including occasional zouk, and a festive Creole folk sound. For this first version of the group, they were accompanied by Jean Tamas and ArsĂšne NoĂ«l, and invited Alain JosĂ©phine to play saxophone on a few tracks. The album Reviviscence was released in 2006, and its success led to it being re-released in 2011!
