Creole Love Calls, Rythmes Latins des Antilles – 2001

đŸŽ¶đŸŒŽđŸŽčđŸ”„đŸŒŠ At the turn of the millennium, Antoine Rajon and Arnaud Boubet published one of the first documented compilations of Latin music from the West Indies on the small Isma’a label. That same year, the label published one of the very rare reissues of Roland Brival’s Creole Gypsy, and would accompany the Martinican singer and writer on his next opus, Waka, in 2005. So here, Creole Love Calls, Rythmes Latins des Antilles, brings together on two discs some treasures that have become impossible to find, by some of the biggest names in Caribbean music. Special mention goes to Eddy Louiss’s « mazurka cacodou », but there’s also the piano of Marius Cultier in « Diamant », and the Latin rhythms of Henri GuĂ©don & les Contesta. Also featuring La Perfecta, Ryco Jazz, David Martial, Dolor, Les Vikings, Les Aiglons, Les Rapaces.
