Turbopunch – Eddy La Viny, 1987

,

With Turbopunch, his second album released in 1987, Eddy La Viny treated himself to a hit album. Behind the cover in the purest kitsch of the 80s, Gérard La Viny’s son scores points with the unmissable Antillaise, but also Turbopunch, Zouk Infernal and Escale Tropicale. The arrangements are by Frédéric Caracas – who also plays bass – and André Condouant, and Daniel Kissoun, Allen Hoist, Patrick Parole, Fred Hovsepian and others are also involved. The vocals and backing vocals are by Jane Fostin, Tanya St-Val, Tony Lodin and Willy Salzedo. And while Eddy La Viny may no longer be singing, he has remained faithful to his Turbopunch, with his « La Maison du Rhum » store in Paris!
