« One of Nigeria’s other » great musicians is, of course, King Sunny Adé. In 1983, with his African Beats, he published Synchro System, the anthem of Jùjú music, close to highlife and derived from traditional Yoruba music. Martin Meissonnier, on production, keyboards and arrangements, polished the sound of this diamond in the rough for Western ears.
