It had been a long time since we’d had a good old-fashioned kompa pure juice, hadn’t we? In 1978, Tabou Combo definitely became Superstars. With disco tracks in it and glitter everywhere. The irresistible « Light is coming your way » blithely mixes styles and « Let’s Dance » can’t be imagined without platform soles and bell-bottoms, while « Balancé » or « Cherchez La Femme » can be danced to by two! The mainstays are there: Elysée Pironneau, Adolphe Chancy, the much-missed Herman Nau on drums… Among the brass players, the inevitable Glenn Ferris.
