Soirée – Acoustik Zouk, 1992

The Bernard brothers, Dominique Bougrainville, Luther François, Ralph Thamar… The whole of Fal Frett comes together for the Acoustik Zouk concept launched in 1992 with this album Soirée. Most of the compositions come from the group, but the album opens with a track by Mario Canonge – who joins in the party – and guest stars include traditional singer Marcé. The backing vocals feature Sonia Pinel-Féréol, Suzy Trébeau and Rodrigue Marcel, and the band is rounded out by horn players Hilary Lewis and Clarence Joseph, and Claude Denise on guitar. Fonds Larion is definitely the must-have Christmas 92 hit for any serious aficionado! Acoustik Zouk followed up four years later with Espas Madinina. Come on, zouk!
