Jean-Claude Gaspard was undoubtedly one of the figures of Mauritian Sega. Born in 1946, he produced numerous records until his retirement from the scene in 2014. The artist was also known for his humour, which shone through in his lyrics. Jean-Claude Gaspard passed away in 2017.
