Ben Decca is unquestionably one of the icons of makossa. Born in Douala, his recording career began in 1981 with Ô Mulema. The album Mbango Muam, his third, came out in 1983. It featured the usual cream of the makossa crop at the time: Toto Guillaume, Aladji Touré, Valéry Lobé and… Jean-Claude Naimro, of course! In the backing vocals, the great Sissy Dipoko and Irène Essomo. In short, a must-see that has largely contributed to the reputation of the man who is also the older brother of the no less famous Grace Decca.
