In September 2002, Franck Nicolas recorded the first part of his Jazz Ka Philosophy in New York. For the occasion, he invited a host of Guadeloupean and Martinican talent: Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Magic Malik, Alain Jean-Marie, Joby Julienne, Sonny Troupé and Louis Allèbe Montjoly De Montaigne. The great double bassist Lonnie Plaxico is also on board. Jazz Ka Philosophy is the first in a series of cover illustrations by Michel Rovelas. Le Bananier bleu and MusicMetis accompanied the album adventure.
