In 2008, Kimbòl, under the direction of Sonny Troupé who took over the reins, published Invitation. The Saint-Anne collective, initiated by Georges Troupé, continues to keep the modern gwoka tradition alive. In addition to the extended Troupé family – Arnaud Dolmen features prominently – there are a number of well-known names such as Jean-Pierre Coquerelle, Michel Mado, Patrice Hulman, Jocelyn Ménard, Lucile Kancel, Armand Achéron… Tracks by Guy Conquet and Gérard Lockel rub shoulders with Kimbòl’s original compositions, some of which have become standards, such as Lyen Etéwnèl and Konfians pou Dèmen.
