Your weekly dose of compas, with one of the hits from one of the most iconic Haitian bands based in New York, Skah-Shah. From the mid-70s to the late 80s, they were one of the leading lights of compas, and Guêpe Pangnole is certainly one of their best-known tracks. It was also the first record by this « new » band. Drummer Yves Arsène Appolon had just left Shleu-Shleu to form this new mini-jazz band, and the competition (or rivalry) between the two bands would be fierce.
