Ntesa Dalienst‘s Grands Maquisards are one of the most emblematic orchestras of Congolese rumba. Formed in 1970, the orchestra swept all before it and flooded Central Africa with its first hits, including the famous Dellya. The orchestra lasted five years, until it split up in 1975. Dalienst was later recruited by Franco and went on to lead TP OK Jazz for several years.
