Combinaison – Les Loups Noirs, 1978

đŸșđŸŽ¶đŸ„đŸŽžđŸ’„ In 1978, Haiti’s Loups Noirs were already in their tenth year, and the album Combinaison was around their twentieth production – it’s always difficult to count precisely, but the pace of releases was steady. Les Loups Noirs live up to their reputation here, with a series of irresistible compas, including, of course, Combinaison itself. At the end of the flip, Les Loups Noirs celebrate the Orisha of lightning, Shango, with his funky intro. Voodoo continues to take pride of place with Ogoun, brother of the previous Orisha, on the B side. After a Latin passage, the Loups Noirs conclude in the trance of Carnaval 79, a furious finale!
