🎶🎷🎹🎤🇨🇺 Latin diversions to Cuba with the Charanga Colonial in 1978 on Neon, a label specializing in the genre. The group was led by Alfredo Valdés, with the participation of Roberto Torres, who was also the producer. It’s hardly surprising, then, that the six tracks, a mix of danzon and son cubano, are definitely irresistible, led by the virtuoso flute of Eddie Zervigon, who also wrote the arrangements. A slight preference for La Sitiera, and then the haunting Ven Y Ven that closes the album.
