Released in 1974, Cé Rel… once again showcases the orchestra’s talent, both in irresistible compas and languid boleros. Precision brass, a deluge of Farfisa organ, and wild guitar combine to set the stage alight, as heard in Jamais, which opens Side B, followed by the equally infectious Musicien Ce Metie’m. A brief respite comes with Lamento, but the Haitians return with a bang for the explosive finale, Rois des Rois. In short, Les Loups Noirs are at their peak once more!
