🎷🇬🇵🕺💿🎶 Biguine En Nous is Les Mercenaires‘ first hit, released in 1968 on Aux Ondes, the Disques Célini label. It’s also the first EP by the group formed by saxophonist Edouard Benoit, with the Winter brothers, Alain and Raymond. On the B side, Stranger, somewhere between Moody Blues and Aphrodite’s Child, will have you dancing the summer of ’68 in Guadeloupe, but the little 45 also includes a cover of the famous calypso Dr Keetch, written by Lord Kitchener, and with lyrics as always with a double meaning.
