Adjusting is Arnaud Dolmen‘s second album, five years after Tonbé Lévé. Working in quartet(s), Arnaud deploys his skills as a melodist and rhythmic landscape artist in a multi-faceted, high-flying jazz. The Caribbean is obviously there, but the colours are much broader and richer. From the previous album, Leonardo Montana and Adrien Sanchèz are back with great pleasure. Arnaud also invites Naïssam Jalal – whose music he has shared for a long time – and the sparkling accordion of Vincent Peirani. Moonlight Benjamin’s powerful voice takes us back to the spiritual power of the Caribbean.
