Twenty years ago, Jean-Jacques Elangué assembled his Africanos to record this luminous Missounga. The great Félix Sabal-Lecco played the drums, alongside Linley Marthe, Mario Canonge, Tom McClung and Nicolas Genest. What a line-up! Somewhere between hard bop, Afro jazz and fusion, Missounga is a luminous explosion of goodness. And on the last track, where Philippe Combelle takes over the drumsticks, we even get a featuring from Emmanuel Djob.
