La Klé – Edith Lefel, 1988

🎤🌟🎸🥁💫  In 1988, Edith Lefel went solo with La Klé, released by GD Production. For several years, she had been slowly rising to prominence, noticed and called upon by most of the major Caribbean artists and groups: Kassav’, Michel Alibo, Malavoi, Ronald Rubinel, Simon Jurad and Jean-Michel Cabrimol. So it’s hardly surprising that La Klé features a five-star cast: Jacob Desvarieux and Rigo Star on guitars, Paco Séry, Claude Vamur and Roger Raspail on percussion, and not to mention Michel Alibo, Jocelyne Béroard, Patrick Saint-Eloi, Jean-Claude Naimro and Ralph Thamar, to name but a few. The album will obviously be one of the hits of the little fairy of zouk, who tragically disappeared twenty years ago.
