Bondieu Pa Ni Lagent – Eddy Gustave, 1975

,

Born in Morne A l’Eau, the young pharmaceutical laboratory technician had finally swapped bottles for the saxophone after meeting Emilien Antile in Paris. Edmond Gustave thus became Eddy Gustave for the stage. He went on to become one of the mainstays of La Canne à Sucre for a good ten years. He set up his own label, where he produced his own records – as well as many West Indian and African artists. In 1975, Bondieu Pa Ni Lagent oscillated between beguine and merengue, with his group, the Eddy-Son. With Harry Gatibelza, Paul Torvic, Omer Chery, Fiscal Evariste, Alexandre Perval, Charly Nugent and Daniel Capron. Plus, a signed copy by the artist!
