King of Ambass-bey, the ancestor of Makossa, Salle John, the griot of the Nkam, takes us along in his wake with one of his 1984 hits, A Bele Te. He is particularly well accompanied on this album, with Francis Mbappé and Valéry Lobé on rhythm, Douglas Mbida on keyboards, guitarist Esso Job and Papa Manu Dibango himself on saxophone. The backing vocals feature other well-known names such as Sissy Dipoko and Florence Titty Dimbeng. There’s even the singer Douleur, under his real name, Alexandre Douala.
