Born on 11 February. The singer Antonio Machín was born in Cuba in 1903. However, he would spend most of his career in Europe and especially Spain, where he made the bolero Dos Gardénias famous thanks to his interpretation. On this little EP from 1958, a mix of cha-cha-cha (Noche Azul, Aquellos Ojos Verdes) and bolero (Amor Ciego, Plegaria) chiselled with love. He died in Madrid in 1977 and a statue was erected to him in Seville, where he lived.
