In August 2000, the Groupe Folklorique de la Réunion took to the stage at the Séchoir in Saint-Leu for two evenings of concerts featuring the cream of the Sega and Maloya traditions. René Lacaille, Gramoun Lélé, Firmin Viry and Françoise Guimbert took turns at the microphone. Jacqueline Farreyrol, of course, sings her hit Mon Île, while Danyel Waro sings the unmissable Batarsité, before joining Ti-Fock on Mafate. A fine panorama of Réunion’s music captured on this hour-long CD.
