First album for 3A Production, and first big hits for drummer, percussionist and singer Hilaire Hartock. Pla-Ka-Ta ! was released in 1977, and as well as the title track, also included the well-known Haut Les Mains. The stratospheric guitars of Felix Clarion and Jimmy Maynard – the latter also heard with the mythical Guerilla – are probably no strangers to this success. Hartock also relies on the percussion of Marcé, who plays the drum. In the end, the Martiniquais released few albums, but he remained a benchmark whose albums fetch high prices on the platforms. Hilaire Hartock died in 2019, aged 70.
