🎷🌴🌺🦜🇲🇶 Michel Godzom remained with Perfecta for ten years before embarking on a solo career. The clarinettist launched his solo career in 1983 with this album bearing his name alone. His music is fully in keeping with Martinique’s classical heritage, and accompanied by the Bernard brothers and JosĂ© Privat, he makes waltzes and mazurkas shine. The arrangements also include a classical orchestra from the Paris Opera, and Godzom doesn’t hesitate to reread Schubert, revived with Caribbean colors. Godzom has not abandoned la Perfecta, however, and will also be heard with PalavirĂ©, Simon Jurad and JM Harmony.
