L’Eden (Moitié toi, Moitié moi) – Théo Blaise Kounkou, 1982

,

L’Eden (Moitié toi, Moitié moi) is certainly one of Théo-Blaise Kounkou‘s greatest hits. The Congolese, who moved to Benin during his studies, started out with Poly-Ritmo, before founding Africa All Stars with Sam Mangwana in Côte d’Ivoire. It was with this group that he made his name with Bella Amicha at the end of the 70s. But in 1982, it was Eden’s rumba/soukous that set the dancefloors alight under the batons of the indomitable Denis Hekimian, and the stratospheric Sebene guitar of Syran Mbenza.
