In 1966, this compilation released by Célini Disques / Aux Ondes, of some gwoka masters. Folklores – that’s the name of the record – brings together recordings by Robert Loyson (whose birthday it is, moreover, today), Germain Calixte and Taret Turgot, rooted in tradition. Three gwoka figures who, paradoxically, have made few recordings. Drums and boulagyel support some of the songs that have gone down in history, such as Zombi Barré Moin, Bateau Moin Rivé and En Tamarin Ti Ni Dé Gade Mobile.
