With Ka-Frobeat, Magic Malik continues the rediscovery of his multiple roots. Here, we navigate between jazz, afrobeat and gwoka, and it’s superb! Featuring the ever-faithful Maxime Zampieri on drums, Zaf-Zapha’s bass, and I’ve got a soft spot for a trumpeter I’m hearing more and more frequently, Olivier Laisney! He’s definitely one to watch. The music is often sung (Sandra Nkaké, Valérie Belinga…).
