đșđŽđžđđčđ In 1985, the compas franchise, Scorpio, came under the direction of trombonist Saur Gelin and released Mission Pa Nou. First the theme, then the guitar choruses, Scorpio’s compas takes on funk colours, without of course forgetting its fundamentally Latin spirit. And don’t miss the delightful reggae quote from We Are The World: anything goes! On the B side, the infectious Kou Pou Kou paves the way for the unexpected slow song GadĂ©, which for once holds up rather well. The album closes with Josapha, a track with particularly generous brass arrangements. Last but not least, the album is released on the Martinican label GD Production. Go on, compas!
