đȘđșđ·đ„đ€đŽ Forty years ago, the seventh Kassav’ album was released, and the last Kassav’ album before Kassav’. The last album that Pierre-Edouard and Jacob still considered experimental and research-based. They pose shirtless on the cover, accompanied by their brother Georges. Jocelyne and Patrick joined the group, which was ready to take off nationally and then internationally with the next album. The Kassav’ signature was now recognised, and zouk was officially on the march. Claude Vamur is on drums, and even Michel Alibo gives a koudmen on a few tracks. The brass section is complete: sax (Alain Hatot), trombone (Hamid Belhocine) and the three trumpets of Giausserand, Hovsepian and Russo. The result is a zouk tinged with funk, enhanced by the fiery riffs of the brass and the soaring strings, as well as a few moments of grace like Moment Ta La, written and sung by Jocelyne. A great vintage.
