In the early years of his reign, from 1976, Prince Nico Mbarga produced several records a year with his Rocafil Jazz. Straddling Cameroon and Nigeria, his highlife struck a chord, and he used his voice to get messages across. In 1977, Free Education In Nigeria became a nightclub hit as much as a call for development! The cover of this copy is clearly rinsed, but the groove is definitely there, and that’s the main thing!
