đŸŽ€đŸ‘Żâ€â™€ïžđŸ„đŸ‡żđŸ‡Š In Pretoria in the 60s, there was an explosion of mgqashiyo, the rhythm that never dies, popularized by the Mahotella Queens. Mgqashyo is a fast-paced reworking of traditional or neo-traditional African songs, often Zulu, performed by female harmonic choirs. The Motella label took the opportunity to release Mgqashiyo on the beat, a small compilation in 1967, featuring other in-house groups such as the Dima Sisters and the Mahlokohloko Stars.
