In Koffi Olomidé’s rich discography, Les Prisonniers Dorment (1990) is a little before the second launch of the Congolese’s career, which would come to the fore a few years later with his orchestra Quartier Latin. A legend of rumba and soukous, in particular with the late Papa Wemba, he was to give a helping hand to many artists on the current scene, such as Fally Ipupa. On this album, Koffi Olomidé is once again very well surrounded by the guitars of Maïka Munam and Rigo Star, the bass of Aladji Touré and Manu Lima, and the backing vocals of Myriam Betty… among a very full cast.
