À l’origine, on retrouve avec lui de nombreux musiciens congolais reconnus comme Jean-Serge Essous et Vicky Longomba. L’orchestre – qui tire son nom de l’OK bar où il se produit régulièrement – vit sa vie propre et publie rumba sur rumba, qui sortent sous forme de 45 tours.
