C&rsquo;est cette musique-l\u00e0 qu&rsquo;ils savent jouer, c&rsquo;est celle qu&rsquo;ils ont appris, c&rsquo;est la musique de leur pays, la Guadeloupe<\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb C\u2019est par ces mots en 2007, que G\u00e9rard Lockel entame les liner notes d\u2019un album qu\u2019il est particuli\u00e8rement fier de voir na\u00eetre, celui du trio de son fils <strong>Franck<\/strong>, qui est un nouveau manifeste du Gwo-Ka Mod\u00e8n. Franck au piano, est accompagn\u00e9 par <strong>Jean-Marie Lockel<\/strong> \u00e0 la batterie, et au tambour ka, par un fid\u00e8le de la premi\u00e8re heure, <strong>J\u00e9r\u00f4me Gatibelza<\/strong>. Ce dernier avait fait partie du GKM de G\u00e9rard Lockel, et avait d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une grande partie de son jeu au Gwadlouka, \u00e0 mi-chemin du tambour et de la batterie (\u00e0 rapprocher d\u2019ailleurs de la batrika de Kaf\u00e9).
