Ses premiers titres sont publi\u00e9s en 1970, avec Daniel Gargar, puis il monte son propre groupe, <strong>Les Zouker\u2019s<\/strong>, pour moderniser la biguine, en la simplifiant, inspir\u00e9 du ti-bwa, et \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 le disco est roi. On se rapproche furieusement du zouk qui a finalement \u00e9clot quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, issu de plusieurs histoires parall\u00e8les et d\u2019une recherche commune sur les m\u00e9langes musicaux de l\u2019\u00e9poque. Sur ce deuxi\u00e8me album de son groupe, on navigue entre pr\u00e9mices du zouk, influences africaines, reggae et rythmes latins, avec Julien Tarquin (b), Guy B\u00e9vert (dms) et Jos\u00e9 S\u00e9b\u00e9lou\u00e9 (g). Jocelyne B\u00e9roard, que le pianiste a rep\u00e9r\u00e9 quelques ann\u00e9es plus t\u00f4t lors d\u2019une jam parisienne, est dans les ch\u0153urs. Roland Louis a travaill\u00e9 avec David Martial, Mory Kant\u00e9, parmi de nombreux autres.
