Avec un point commun, le groove. Rien d\u2019\u00e9tonnant alors \u00e0 sa plong\u00e9e dans la tradition du maloya lors d\u2019un s\u00e9jour r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 la R\u00e9union en 2015. Depuis, son groupe \u00ab Identit\u00e9 \u00bb propose un jazz maloya qui porte facilement \u00e0 la transe, avec les musiciens habit\u00e9s qui l\u2019accompagnent. Une bonne partie d\u2019entre eux viennent de l\u2019\u00eele, o\u00f9 ils sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u2019ardents d\u00e9fenseurs de la tradition : Vincent Phil\u00e9as, Emmanuel F\u00e9licit\u00e9, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Calcin\u00e9 (percussions\/voix) et Nicolas Beaulieu (guitare). Florent Gac compl\u00e8te le tableau \u00e0 l\u2019orgue, apportant une touche harmonique et groove \u00e0 cette fusion immerg\u00e9e dans le rythme.
