Leur nom s\u2019inspire de Kool &amp; the Gang, l\u2019une de leurs influences principales hors Cara\u00efbe. Le groupe d\u00e9croche son petit succ\u00e8s local en jouant dans les clubs de l\u2019\u00eele, les h\u00f4tels, et en participant aux d\u00e9fil\u00e9s de carnaval. En 1977, ils enregistrent un album ambitieusement nomm\u00e9 <strong>Vol. 1<\/strong>, mais malheureusement, les affaires en resteront l\u00e0. Ce sera le seul disque de l&rsquo;\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re label local, Jay Records.
