D\u2019abord, David Martial, c\u2019est une institution depuis soixante ans. Peu peuvent se vanter d\u2019autant. Lorsqu\u2019il d\u00e9barque en France \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 50, il int\u00e8gre le Groupe Folklorique Martiniquais de Louis Boislaville. Il joue dans les clubs parisiens, mais finalement le succ\u00e8s ne viendra qu\u2019apr\u00e8s son retour en Martinique \u2013 et avant C\u00e9lim\u00e8ne ! Il sait s\u2019entourer et on retrouve souvent \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s le pianiste Roland Louis. En 1972, le succ\u00e8s ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nal de son tube d\u00e9finitif est une surprise, ou en tout cas son intensit\u00e9 \u2013 et dont on ne peut que se r\u00e9jouir pour son auteur. Par la suite, David Martial poursuit sa route, comme sur ce <strong>Tout Cr\u00e9ole<\/strong> de 1978, toujours avec Roland Louis, mais \u00e9galement Guy Houllier, G\u00e9rard Pommer, Edouard Benoit, Yves Honor\u00e9, etc. L\u2019album alterne les genres, de la cadence biguine au reggae en passant par le b\u00e8l\u00e8, le ti-bwa et le compas. On y trouve m\u00eame un blues, sur lequel il est accompagn\u00e9 par Georges Arvanitas. Rien que \u00e7a.
